After having tasted success in Cardiff with his first venture, Chef Santhosh has decided to cross the Severn and open a new venue in Bristol. In the subtle surroundings of Henleaze just off Westbury on Trym and just off the Clifton Downs ; Salkaara has now started in the building annexe to Waitrose supermarket.
Keeping in line with the Cardiff restaurant, we provide a casual and relaxed atmosphere along with a vibrancy of a different combination of flavours.
Salkaara – derived from the word Salkaram in Malayalam which means hosting a guests or a feast or even just a hearty welcome. In line with its meaning , we at Salkaara have great pleasure in serving each and every one of our guests. At Salkaara we aim to take you on a gastronomical journey of various Indian flavours and Chef Santhosh’s mastery over the combination of such flavours. Hailing from Kerala – Chef Santhosh’s menu does lean towards Keralan or if not South Indian cuisine but we do have a variety of dishes from other parts of India combining them with the best of British produce wherever possible
